Kannada star Kichcha Sudeepa has unveiled Devaraaya, an ambitious historical film in which he will portray the legendary Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya. The title and first look were announced on Wednesday to coincide with the actor’s birthday.

The makers introduced the project through a visually rich announcement video that presents Sudeepa in an elaborate royal appearance. Wearing a magnificent crown, traditional attire and layered pearl jewellery, the actor commands attention with a controlled expression and imposing screen presence.

Devaraaya is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. Priya Sudeep is presenting the project through Supriyanvi Picture Studio. The makers have confirmed a December 2027 theatrical release, giving the production team considerable time to develop the large-scale historical world.
