Hanuman Ansh is refusing to follow the conventional box-office pattern. While most films lose a significant number of screens before completing six weeks, the devotional drama has delivered an estimated India nett collection of Rs 8.25 crore on its 40th day.
The Day 40 performance places the modestly budgeted film ahead of several major Hindi releases at the corresponding stage of their theatrical runs. Industry estimates suggest that Hanuman Ansh has now collected Rs 231.13 crore nett and Rs 272.90 crore gross in India.
The film reportedly added Rs 2 crore from overseas markets on Day 40, taking its international total to Rs 18.50 crore. Its estimated worldwide gross has consequently reached Rs 291.40 crore, leaving it less than Rs 9 crore away from entering the Rs 300 crore club.
Hanuman Ansh Delivers Exceptional Day 40 Collection
According to industry-tracker estimates, the film earned Rs 8.25 crore across 9,175 shows in India on Day 40. Such a collection is unusual during the sixth week, when daily earnings for even successful productions generally fall far below their opening-week numbers.
Hanuman Ansh has instead continued to attract audiences despite competition from newer theatrical releases. Its estimated Day 40 earnings were more than three times the corresponding collection of Dhurandhar and Pathaan.
The film’s ability to maintain substantial show allocations has become an important part of its box-office story. Positive audience reactions and its devotional theme appear to have helped it sustain momentum long after the initial release period.
Hanuman Ansh Beats Major Films in Day 40 Comparison
Hanuman Ansh leads the widely circulated Day 40 comparison with Rs 8.25 crore nett. Dhurandhar reportedly collected Rs 2.60 crore on its 40th day, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan earned Rs 2.55 crore.
Chhaava registered Rs 1.40 crore at the same stage of its run, while URI: The Surgical Strike collected Rs 1.38 crore. These numbers do not compare the films’ lifetime totals or opening performances; they measure only their earnings on the 40th day.

Hanuman Ansh Grows From Rs 10 Lakh Opening
The film reportedly opened with only Rs 10 lakh and was produced on an estimated budget of approximately Rs 2 crore. Its modest beginning offered little indication that it would eventually become one of the year’s most discussed box-office performers.
Centred on the life and spiritual influence of Neem Karoli Baba, the film gradually expanded through audience recommendations. Instead of depending on a major opening weekend or conventional star-driven publicity, it found viewers over several weeks and continued adding shows as demand increased.
The combination of a small production budget, growing collections and a sustained theatrical run has turned Hanuman Ansh into an extraordinary commercial success. The film is now within striking distance of Rs 300 crore worldwide, although box-office figures from industry trackers remain estimates and are not independently audited.
Hanuman Ansh Telugu Release Scheduled for September 18
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand in important roles. The team is now preparing to expand the film’s reach with its Telugu version, scheduled to open on September 18.
International theatre listings also show the Telugu version opening on September 18, with Vishal Chaturvedi credited as director and Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand included in the cast. Harkins Theatres lists the Telugu-subtitled edition for that date.
The Telugu release will test whether the devotional drama’s strong word-of-mouth appeal can travel into a new language market. If the dubbed version connects with viewers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it could provide another boost as the film approaches the Rs 300 crore worldwide milestone.
