Nani’s The Paradise Budget Reportedly Hits ₹90 Crore
Nani’s upcoming action drama The Paradise has reportedly been made on a budget of approximately ₹90 crore, potentially making it the most expensive film of the actor’s career. The figure, attributed to a distributor, has not been officially confirmed by the production house.
The reported investment places considerable pressure on the film to perform strongly at the theatrical box office. According to the distributor, director Srikanth Odela filmed the project for more than 220 days and also completed reshoots, pushing production expenses beyond the level usually associated with Nani’s films.
The Paradise has been promoted as an ambitious production with a large canvas, distinctive setting and intense presentation. However, its reported cost means the movie will need substantial revenue from multiple sources to recover its investment and deliver profits to the stakeholders.
Extended filming reportedly pushed production costs higher
Industry reports have suggested that rising expenses became a concern during the editing stage. There was reportedly a serious discussion between the producer and director over the increasing budget, although neither the filmmakers nor the production company has publicly addressed such claims.
The distributor said the film had been made with considerable passion but had moved beyond the traditional financial safety zone for a Nani-led project. The extended shoot, reshoots, elaborate production requirements and post-production work are believed to have contributed to the reported increase in spending.
Nani’s previous big-budget release Saripodhaa Sanivaaram reportedly collected more than ₹45 crore in theatrical share. That performance helped place its producer in a comparatively secure position, but The Paradise carries significantly higher financial expectations.
Non-theatrical deals crucial for investment recovery
The makers are reportedly aiming to recover a substantial portion of the investment through non-theatrical business. Hindi dubbing rights, satellite rights and OTT streaming agreements are expected to play an important role in reducing the film’s dependence on theatrical collections.
The Telugu version is reportedly undergoing the censor process, while certification for the film’s other language versions is expected to follow. Strong advance business across languages could help the producers secure part of the investment before the theatrical release.
The Paradise will still require an impressive box-office run to justify its reported ₹90 crore budget. Positive word of mouth, a strong opening and sustained collections will be crucial, while successful digital, satellite and dubbing deals could provide an additional financial cushion.
With Srikanth Odela directing Nani in an ambitious new role, expectations are high. However, until the makers officially disclose the production cost, the ₹90 crore figure should be treated as an industry estimate rather than a confirmed budget.
