Suriya’s 47th film has officially been titled Scene, with the makers unveiling an energetic teaser that introduces the actor in a powerful new police role. Directed by Aavesham filmmaker Jithu Madhavan, the action entertainer features Suriya as DSP Premraj.
The film comes after Suriya’s successful releases Veerabhadrudu and Vishwanath & Sons. Nazriya Nazim plays the female lead, while Naslen also appears in an important role. Scene is being produced by Jyothika and Suriya under the Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment banners.
Unlike conventional police-character introductions, the teaser does not immediately reveal Suriya in uniform or present him as a straightforward heroic officer. Instead, it creates suspense around Premraj’s unpredictable personality. A voiceover describes the officer as strange and even calls him a “psycho,” establishing that he operates differently from a typical screen cop.
Suriya makes a mass entry as DSP Premraj
Suriya’s arrival completely changes the teaser’s energy. DSP Premraj is shown walking through a central jail with a constable, casually resting his hand on the officer’s shoulder while addressing more than 900 criminals he claims to have arrested.
His stern warning establishes Premraj as a fearless officer with a formidable reputation. Suriya’s confident body language, intense expressions and forceful dialogue delivery give the character a strong mass identity. The sequence has been designed as a crowd-pleasing introduction that could earn loud reactions in theatres.
Jithu Madhavan presents Suriya in a style that appears different from the actor’s earlier police characters. Instead of relying only on action, the teaser highlights Premraj’s unusual behaviour and psychological edge, suggesting that Scene may combine humour, unpredictability and high-voltage action.
Scene teaser receives strong technical support
The teaser benefits from Vineeth Agustine’s rich cinematography, which gives the jail setting scale and atmosphere. The carefully framed shots strengthen Suriya’s commanding screen presence and build anticipation before his full introduction.
Sushin Shyam’s pulsating background score further elevates the mass moments. The music grows with the character reveal and gives Premraj’s warning additional impact.
