Ravana Tandav Showcases Shiva Devotion
The makers of Ramayana: Part 1 have unveiled Ravana Tandav, a song centred on Ravana’s devotion to Lord Shiva. Featuring Yash, the musical sequence adds to the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its scheduled theatrical arrival next month.
AR Rahman has composed the track, with Vishal Dadlani providing the vocals and Kumar Vishwas writing the lyrics. The song opens with the Shiva Tandava Stotram, establishing a devotional foundation before moving into its broader musical arrangement. The combination places Ravana’s spiritual devotion at the centre of the sequence, giving audiences another glimpse of how the character is presented in the film.
Yash Brings Energy To Ravana
Yash’s commanding presence and energetic dance movements are the main attractions of Ravana Tandav. His performance complements the intensity of the composition, particularly as the song gathers momentum in its second half. The opening follows a familiar devotional approach, while the later portions bring greater energy to the presentation. Yash’s physical performance gives the sequence much of its dramatic force. Rather than revealing major story developments, the song focuses attention on Ravana through music and movement. It also offers viewers a closer look at Yash’s interpretation of the role ahead of the film’s release.
