Movie Description
Elio is an upcoming animated science fiction adventure film from Pixar Animation Studios, set to release on June 20, 2025. Directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina, the film follows 11-year-old Elio Solis (voiced by Yonas Kibreab), a space-obsessed boy who, after making contact with aliens, is mistakenly identified as Earth's ambassador and transported to the Communiverse. There, he must navigate intergalactic diplomacy and discover his true identity. The film features the voices of Zoe Saldaña as Aunt Olga, Remy Edgerly as Glordon, Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa, and Shirley Henderson as OOOOO. With a musical score by Rob Simonsen, Elio combines Pixar's signature animation with heartfelt storytelling, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and the universal desire for connection.
