Movie Description

Set in Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh, Bhagwat: Chapter One – Raakshas follows Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat (Arshad Warsi), who is transferred to this small town and quickly becomes involved in a case of a missing young woman named Poonam. As Bhagwat digs deeper, he discovers other disappearances that seem connected to a local prostitution racket. Meanwhile, Sameer (Jitendra Kumar), a college professor, appears outwardly ordinary but becomes entangled in suspicion. The investigation reveals a darker web of secrets, moral ambiguity, and personal conflict. Themes include justice, morality, human psyche, and how the line between culprit and victim can blur.
