SYNOPSIS:

CHARAK is a grounded social drama set around an ancient ritual where faith is expressed through physical endurance. The film follows individuals who take part in this practice, each driven by belief, hope, or the need for meaning. As the ritual progresses, devotion begins to test the limits of the body and mind, raising questions about tradition, choice, and sacrifice. Through a realistic lens, the film explores how deeply rooted beliefs shape identity and control lives, often blurring the line between faith and suffering. CHARAK presents an honest and immersive look at a rarely seen cultural practice, focusing on the human stories within it. At its core, the film asks whether faith empowers people or demands too much in return, leaving lasting marks long after the ritual ends.
