Mortal Kombat 2 continues the saga from the 2021 reboot. The champions of Earthrealm — including Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Jax, and Cole Young — are joined by the legendary Johnny Cage (Karl Urban). They must battle in a high-stakes tournament against the forces of Outworld, led by the tyrant Shao Kahn, whose invasion threatens the survival of Earth. The sequel expands the mythos, introduces more classic characters (Kitana, Jade, Sub-Zero, etc.), and delivers intensified action, brutal “fatalities,” interrealm conflict, and the desperate fight to protect Earthrealm from conquest.
