Haiwaan is a Hindi action-crime thriller directed by Priyadarshan, bringing Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar together on screen after nearly two decades. Saif plays a visually impaired martial artist whose heightened instincts and attention to detail become crucial when he is pulled into a dangerous murder mystery. Akshay appears in a menacing antagonist role, creating an intense cat-and-mouse confrontation between the two central characters. The film explores perception, deception, survival and the struggle to protect an innocent life from a calculating killer. Saiyami Kher plays Inspector Varsha Joshi, while Shriya Pilgaonkar, Boman Irani, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi and Manoj Joshi appear in important roles. Mohanlal makes a special cameo appearance. The movie is reportedly inspired by Priyadarshan’s Malayalam thriller Oppam but features changes designed for Hindi audiences.
