Rajinikanth is at the centre of One Sun One Moon, the second song released from Jailer 2. Sun Pictures unveiled the lyrical video on September 25, giving fans another look at his character, Muthuvel Pandian, ahead of the sequel’s scheduled October 15, 2026, theatrical release.
The track plays as a tribute to Rajinikanth’s screen presence. Its visuals and lyrics build around his stature rather than reveal much about the film’s plot. For viewers waiting to see how director Nelson Dilipkumar continues Pandian’s story, the video offers fresh footage while keeping the larger narrative under wraps.
Anirudh returns with Jailer 2’s second songAnirudh Ravichander has composed One Sun One Moon and sings alongside M S Krsna. Heisenberg and Super Subu are credited with the lyrics. The song follows the film’s earlier music release and adds another piece to the promotional campaign as Jailer 2 moves closer to cinemas.
The lyrical video places Rajinikanth’s persona firmly in the spotlight, using glimpses of Pandian to connect the tribute to the sequel. It gives fans a sense of the character’s return without presenting itself as a full trailer or explaining the conflicts he will face this time.
Jailer 2 heads for October 15 releaseNelson’s sequel follows the 2023 film Jailer and brings back several familiar performers, including Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa and Yogi Babu. The wider reported cast includes SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan, whose character Kantha was introduced in a recent official reveal.
Reports have also linked other major stars to Jailer 2, but appearances that Sun Pictures has not announced should remain unconfirmed. The new song’s immediate focus is clear: it celebrates Rajinikanth and keeps attention on Muthuvel Pandian before the film’s October 15 release.
