Up for sale is a 1977 Moto Guzzi V 1000 Convert that is in excellent condition for its age both mechanically and cosmetically. This bike is nearly all original aside from what appears to be a very high end professional repaint at some point in its life to the current metallic burgundy as you see it here. The engine, chassis, and frame are very clean and nearly completely free of rust anywhere aside from a small amount of surface rust on the rotors from sitting stationary in storage for years. This bike as far as the previous owners both knew was always garage kept and it appears thats the case as the factory original seat is in great shape and there is no rust in the tank. The bike just had the carbs rebuilt and had new petcocks and fuel line installed and it fires right up no matter how cold and holds idle well. It goes down the road as it should and high and low range gears both work. The brakes work but do drag very slightly and therefore we ordered full rebuild kits for the masters and calipers straight from Brembo. We do not have the time to put into a full restoration of this bike and its being offered at a very reasonable price given its condition and the spare parts it comes with. It comes with a COMPLETE service kit from Harpers Moto Guzzi that includes valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, oil pan gaskets, carb kits, oil filters, etc. to do a full tune up on it as well as the full Brembo rebuild kits for front and rear. We changed the oil but not the filter in the engine and final drive before starting after it came out of storage. As the video shows it does not smoke, leak, drip, etc. and it runs great!! We have a video of it going down the road on youtube as well - CLEAN PA TITLE IN HAND - LAST INSPECTED AND ON THE ROAD BEING RIDDEN REGULARLY IN 2018.
