Selling my 2022 4x4 170" Extended van -- if this ad is still up, it's still available (not rushing to sell).
LOTS of links to the details on this more detailed post: https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/137105/
Van has the MB extended 100k mile / five-year warranty through March 7, 2027.
Currently configured to seat and sleep six (but as per below I have seats for 10; van is configurable).
Here are the details:
History:
=================
- I'm the original owner; bought it new from Walters in SoCal.
- It started life as a cargo van. I've got an exhaustive build thread here https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/108011/ so that's a great place to go to see much of what I've done to it.
- This is my 4th Sprinter van, so I've learned what I do and don't want in these vans -- this one is very dialed in!
Build Philosophy:
=================
- As you can see in my build thread, I'm all about modularity, which means that just about everything in the van can be removed if desired.
- This is all accomplished via a (very expensive! $17k) AMF Bruns SmartFloor which acts as the "base" of the build. This allows me to add or remove seats & other items in a modular style -- it's awesome. I've got eight removable seats, which means the van can seat up to 10 people safely (with seat belts).
The van:
=================
- 2022 Sprinter 170" Extended with true low/high 4x4
- ~36k miles with extended warranty (5 years / 100k miles)
- Swivel seats
- Has most convenience features! Heated swivel seats, active distance assist, parking package w/ 360 deg camera, etc. Van was $96k new as a stock cargo van.
What I've done so far:
=================
- Espar heater installed under passenger seat
- Vanwife headliner shelf w/ curtain rod & blackout curtain
- VanCompass rear step with Wilco hitch swing arm -- works great for being able to access rear van doors w/ a bike rack on
- SumoSprings front + rear and Sumo SuperSprings on the rear axles
- Lewmar Marine hatch above the rear bed -- great for stargazing, airflow and accessing the roof
- 47 gallon S&B fuel tank upgrade, sliding driver & passenger windows, Maxxfan 7500 by Dave at Campfyre Vans
- Black Rhino Arsenal wheels (including spare) running CrossClimates (on my last van I had KO2s which were great but a bit loud and easy to come unbalanced -- these tires have been phenomenal)
- Dometic RTX 2000 12v AC unit
- PowerAmp retracting steps
- AMF Bruns SmartFloor
- 3M Thinsulate insulation throughout the van
- 12v + 120v power: Inergy Flex 1500 for 120V AC, connected to one 100 amp hour battery, and Flex DC connected to six 100 amp hour batteries, totaling 700 amp hours
- Featherlite Rack w/ "sasquatch" light bar
- 700 watts of solar (!!!): Two 250 watt panels + 2 100 watt panels
- Fiamma F45S awning - 14' 8" long
- Van interior by David of Coop vans in Santa Cruz (2 rear windows w/ sliding openings, dimming lights (including kickplate level accent lighting, bamboo ceiling & more)
- Mule bags along driver's side
- California Adventures "Skinny 2.0" folding table between front driver & passenger seat w/ drink mini fridge between the seats
- MOAB bed on the AdvWagon 2 frame install kit -- bed can be moved up & down via L-track adjustments (and comes with two sets of upper & lower MOAB railings). I've additionally modified it to sit a bit further back in the van, since it's an extended van, providing 10" extra inches of space in front of the bed.
- The bed has a new 10" California King mattress!
- Kitchen: I've prototyped out a cardboard kitchen which has a sink and mini fridge, but haven't built it out of wood yet. I've been using this cardboard prototype for a year and been making small updates & modifications to it. It's all connected via the SmartFloor with a few bolts, so very easy to remove! I've got two 20 gallon wheel well water tanks the kitchen would use that I haven't yet installed but will include in the sale.
- Wired for Gen3 12v Starlink (I'll keep the dish, but everything's ready for you. Works great, 100 mbps to 300 mbps speeds)
- Owl Vans installed an Owl Pismo bumper, in-grille SAE lights, Warn Evo 12-S winch with synthetic line, Owl onboard air system w/ ARB twin compressor, upgraded horn.
- I've got the seats configured around a bamboo table -- two facing backwards and two facing forwards, but you can reconfigure them however you'd like thanks to the SmartFloor. The seats also fold down, which lets me sleep the kids on a portable mattress on top of them -- this means I can sleep 2 adults + 1 young kid in the main Cal King bed, two teen kids in the middle and one pre-teen up-front, for a total of 6 comfortably, depending on ages.
So yeah... I've done a lot to this van, and we've had many great adventures! And I've really worked to do everything "right" after learning from my first three Sprinter vans. I'm sure I'm forgetting a number of other things I've done to it. Best to text me if you're interested. No trades.
