It is known that the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh got injured in a freaking stone pelting incident last night after a member from the crowd threw a stone at him. CM was rushed to the Vijayawada government hospital immediately after the incident and this has become a talking point in the AP political circles.

But coming to the nature of he incident, what is the potential seriousness of the injury? Here is a brief report on this matter based on the gravity of the incident.

Jagan got in pterion area on his forehead. The pterion is the thinnest and the weakest spot of the skull. and can be used as an anatomical landmark of the anterior branch of the middle meningeal artery, lateral sulcus of brain and especially Broca's motor speech area

Injury to pterion usually causes rupture of the middle meningeal artery leading to life- threatening epidural hematoma

An epidural hematoma (EDH) is a collection of blood that forms between your skull and the dura mater, the outermost protective membrane covering your brain. The cause is usually an artery that gets torn by a skull fracture Symptoms include severe headache and loss of consciousness
