Dr. Narain brings extensive training and decades of clinical experience to South Bay Retina. While earning his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine, he completed prestigious externships in Inherited Retinal Disease at the Jules Stein Eye Institute (UCLA) under Dr. John Heckenlively, MD, and in Ocular Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at Walter Reed Medical Center. During his ophthalmology residency at the New Jersey Medical School, he joined faculty on the Orbis Mission to Calcutta, India, where he performed eye screenings for Mother Teresa’s orphans and assisted the team in demonstrating pediatric surgical techniques.
