Tamil independent filmmakers Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan made their debuts in Telugu cinema with Samantha's Yashoda which opened on a positive note at the box office last weekend. The makers held a success meet event in Hyderabad today and here's what the cast and crew had to say about the same.
The directors Hari-Harish said "Yashoda was made possible with the arrival of Samantha. She kept inspiring us to give our very best on sets every day. It feels great to be receiving so much appreciation from all quarters. We feel like we have accomplished something but there is a long way to go. Once Samantha becomes fully fit and is back in action, we will narrate the idea of Yashoda 2 to her. If she gives the nod, we will progress with the sequel. We even have the idea for the third part."
The producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad said Yashoda is one of the benchmark films in his career and he accredited Samantha for the same. He said the kind of support Sam gave for this project is incomparable and added he is willing to work with Sam for more projects if given the chance.
Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar who played an important role in the film said Yashoda has reinstated that female-centric films are no longer a risk and they too can prove to be profitable venutres if executed well. She added that she cherishes the experience fo working with Samantha who is absolute professional and a darling to work with.
