Rajamouli Makes Surprise Cameo in Kojima’s Death Stranding 2

Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has made an unexpected appearance in Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, a viral moment that has captured the attention of fans worldwide. The acclaimed director, known for Baahubali and RRR, plays the character of "The Adventurer" in the game, while his son Karthikeya, who is a line producer on his films, plays "The Adventurer’s Son."

The game, which was released globally on June 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5, quickly gained attention from fans who had early access. Screenshots and videos of Rajamouli’s cameo went viral on social media, with fans excited to see the Indian filmmaker join Kojima’s iconic gaming universe.

Kojima, renowned for his visually rich games and compelling storytelling, had previously shared a photo on Twitter of a virtual meeting with Rajamouli and Karthikeya in April 2025. This moment marked the beginning of their collaboration, which has now come to life in the much-anticipated Death Stranding 2.

Rajamouli, who is currently taking a break and preparing for the next schedule of his film SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, expressed his excitement at being part of such a unique project. SSMB29 is an adventurous film set in a forest backdrop and is expected to be another high-profile project from the filmmaker.
