Record breaking deal for Salaar overseas rights

The coming together of pan Indian macho hero Prabhas and KGF fame Prashanth Neel has built a whole lot of anticipation on Salaar, which is one of the most awaited pan Indian action thrillers.

The film has now closed a record deal for overseas theatrical rights and here's an interesting update on the same.

The overseas distribution rights of Salaar are now with Phars Films who previously acquired RRR and KGF as well. The Prabhas starrer is now the biggest acquisition on their immediate line up of films.

Salaar is in the final stages of production now and the film is headed for release on the 28th of September. The overseas rights are reportedly fetched by Phars films for Rs 74 crores which is one of the highest ever for a South Indian film.

At this rate, Salaar should wreck havoc not just at the domestic box office but also at the overseas box office if it is to recover the monstrous investments.
