There is no need to introduce the popular Telugu weekly Swathi, which has been winning the hearts of millions of readers for the past 40 years. The man behind the magazine and its enormous success is Vemuri Balaram. Now, a biopic is being made on the famous media entrepreneur, and it is titled, "Swathi Balaram - Athade Oka Sainyam."

Renowned writer and director Prabhakar Jaini, who earlier directed Campus Ampasayya, Pranaya Veedhullo and Prajakavi Kaloji, is the director of this movie. Vijayalakshmi Jaini is producing this biopic under the Jaini Creations banner. The pre-production works related to the movie are underway and the film will go on floors once the director finalises the cast and crew members.

Speaking about the biopic, director Prabhakar Jaini said, "Be it a youngster or an oldie, everyone read Swathi magazine secretly and the man behind it is Balaram garu."

"During our conversation, I showed him a song composed by Vandemataram Srinivas garu for the Kaloji biopic. He was happy after knowing that I make movies. Then I expressed my desire for making a biopic on him. After a few discussions, he accepted my proposal and I said to him that I don't take any remuneration for this movie." added Prabhakar Jaini.

He further commented that he collected the necessary information from Balaram garu, and through other sources. He also noted that he recorded a song for the film and made the media bigwig listen to it. "I also completed a schedule by capturing some scenes in his office, house and Kodali and Ghantasala villages.

The team is currently looking for the right person who resembles the younger version of Balaram garu. The auditions are currently happening now. Sridhar Athreya is the music director while Ravikumar Kondaveeti is the editor and Tirupathi Reddy Kota is the cinematographer.
