Mahesh Babu is the most charming Telugu hero and there are not many who can debate this fact. On the personal front, he had quit smoking cigarettes some two decades ago. 

Over the course of last few years, Mahesh hadn't been doing smoking scenes in his films either. He had been staying away from these smoking scenes for many years.

But for Guntur Kaaram, he has set aside his non-smoking regime, at least on screen. 

Each and every poster and teaser of Mahesh Babu that has been released till now has a still of him smoking a beedi, a kind of a locally made tobacco product that is smoked in rural areas. 

The fact that every poster of Guntur Kaaram has Mahesh smoking beedis is leaving his fans worried so as to if his smoking habit has relapsed. 

But there is no need to worry about this aspect. Mahesh is a man with a strong mentality and he wouldn't get readdicted to smoking no matter what. Also, the fact is that he won't be smoking conventional beedis in the film and they will just be herbal ones. 

As for Guntur Kaaram, the film is set for its release on the 12th of January next year and the stakes are high on this one.
