Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram have come together for Family Star which is their immediate next collaboration after Geetha Govindam and the stakes were high on this one. 

Despite the negative reviews at the box office, this film has worked the trick reasonably well in box office terms as it collected a worth share of Rs 18 crores till now which is a pretty consolidated number. 

Coming to the OTT side of things, the film has made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video and is streaming in multiple languages apart from the customary Telugu version. 

The commercial potboiler can make for a fun casual viewing on OTT and this could help its cause on OTT. 

Can Family Star do a Guntur Kaaram on OTT by excelling with its run on Amazon Prime? We have to wait and watch. 

The Parasuram directorial has Vijay and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles and is directed by Dil Raju.
