Kollywood star Suriya is all set to captivate audiences with his upcoming film Kanguva, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Siva. This larger-than-life epic fantasy is rooted in Tamil culture and is poised to make a significant impact on global audiences. Scheduled for release on November 14, Kanguva will be available in over 10 languages and in multiple formats, including 2D, 3D, and IMAX.
At the recent promotional event, Suriya expressed his heartfelt gratitude to fans, journalists, and media friends for their support, particularly thanking UV Company for their collaboration. He emphasized the deep connection he feels with his audience and how their encouragement moves him profoundly. After a two-year hiatus since his last theatrical release, he was touched by the warm reception for the re-release of Surya Son of Krishnan.
Suriya revealed that Kanguva was crafted over two and a half years, driven by director Siva’s passion for storytelling. He also extended his thanks to his friend, rock star Devi Sri Prasad, and cinematographer Vetri for their invaluable contributions. Notably, he highlighted the influence of director Rajamouli, whose guidance has inspired the Kanguva team.
Describing Kanguva as more than just a warrior’s tale, Suriya emphasized its narrative about fighting for one’s people and the values they uphold. He encouraged everyone to experience this special story when it hits theaters on November 14.
Reflecting on his recent participation in Balakrishna’s Unstoppable show, Suriya noted the lasting impression Balakrishna’s dedication and professionalism left on him. Inspired by icons like Kamal Haasan, he acknowledged his efforts to contribute positively to the film industry, citing how impactful movies can drive societal change, with examples like Kaakha Kaakha and Jai Bhim.
The release of Kanguva will be managed by Mythri Movie Distributors in the Nizam region. Produced by Studio Green in association with UV Creations, the star-studded cast includes Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Natty Natraj, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and more, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
