Padma Awards are the most prestigious honor one gets in India, with even highly celebrated film personalities striving to receive them. The latest buzz is that Balakrishna, a top senior hero of Telugu cinema, is under consideration for the Padma Bhushan this year. This comes after Megastar Chiranjeevi was honored with the Padma Vibhushan last year, the second-highest civilian award in India.

Alongside Balakrishna, a filmmaker is also rumored to be vying for either the Padma Shri or Padma Bhushan, with speculations pointing towards K Raghavendra Rao or C Ashwini Dutt. Sources suggest that the Modi government, which has a strong alliance with the Telugu Desam Party, may consider their recommendations for the Padma awards.

The selection process for these prestigious awards typically begins in November and December, with the official announcement expected on Republic Day.
