In a major crackdown, Income Tax officials began conducting raids early this morning at the residences and offices of several prominent figures in the Telugu film industry. The raids targeted Dil Raju, a leading producer behind high-budget films such as Game Changer and Sankranthi ki Vastunnam, as well as his business partner Sirish and his daughter Hansita Reddy. Searches were also carried out at the residences and offices of key personnel associated with Mythri Movie Makers, including producers Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchali Ravi Shankar, and CEO Cherry, who were involved in the successful production of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Reports indicate that a massive operation is underway, with 55 teams conducting simultaneous inspections at eight different locations across the region. The raids are believed to be part of a larger investigation into financial activities within the film industry, especially in light of the major releases during the Sankranthi festival season. This development has drawn significant attention to the financial operations behind some of the biggest films in the Telugu cinema world.
