Telugu cinema's energetic star Ram Pothineni is set to enthrall audiences with his most-awaited upcoming project, tentatively titled #RAPO22. Directed by Mahesh Babu P, who recently scored a hit with Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, this heart-touching entertainer is being produced on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers under the banner of Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar.

The production is currently progressing at a brisk pace, with rising actress Bhagyashri Borse playing the female lead. What makes the project even more special is the latest announcement introducing Kannada superstar Upendra in a pivotal role. He will be seen portraying "Surya Kumar", a character that promises to be powerful and emotionally resonant representing the aura and ideals of a true superstar admired by all. In the newly released character poster, Upendra looks stylish and intense, surrounded by flashing paparazzi lights, exuding charisma. This dynamic look has already started creating buzz, and fans are eagerly waiting for more. The film’s title glimpse is set to release on May 15, raising the anticipation further.

Ram Pothineni, known for his high-energy performances and mass-appealing roles, will be seen in a completely different avatar in this film. Unlike his previous high-voltage action roles, #RAPO22 offers him a character filled with emotional depth and transformation. This refreshing shift in tone is expected to showcase a new side of Ram’s acting prowess. Director Mahesh Babu P is said to have crafted the story with rich emotional layers and character-driven arcs, aiming to connect with all sections of the audience. Positioned as a pan-India film, Mythri Movie Makers are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the film meets the highest production standards.

The technical crew on board for #RAPO22 is equally impressive. The cinematography is helmed by Siddhartha Nuni, known for his stunning visuals. Music is being composed by the Vivek–Mervin duo, promising a soulful and fresh soundscape. The editing is being done by National Award-winner Sreekar Prasad, while Avinash Kolla handles the production design, bringing his signature style and authenticity to the film’s world.

With such a stellar combination of acting talent and top-tier technicians, #RAPO22 is shaping up to be a cinematic experience to watch out for in 2025. The team has already captured the audience’s attention with powerful posters and behind-the-scenes buzz, and expectations are set to rise further with the upcoming teaser. As fans await the May 15 title glimpse, the introduction of Upendra as Surya Kumar and Ram’s new look are making headlines. With emotional storytelling, strong characters, and high-end production, #RAPO22 aims to strike a perfect balance between mass appeal and heartfelt cinema.
