Manchu Vishnu Talks About Friendship with Prabhas and Upcoming Movie Kannappa Release
Tollywood actor-producer Manchu Vishnu is gearing up for the release of his ambitious mythological epic, Kannappa, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2025. Vishnu, who is currently in the US promoting the film, has been engaging with fans through interviews and podcast interactions. In one of his latest podcasts, Vishnu opened up about his close personal and professional relationship with his co-star, Prabhas.
Vishnu shared that this is their second collaboration, after Prabhas’ dubbing stint in the movie Denikaina Ready. Reflecting on their friendship, Vishnu humorously mentioned how he often scolds Prabhas in a friendly manner, pointing out that despite being one of the biggest stars in Asia, Prabhas remains unaffected by fame and lives a humble, grounded life. Vishnu recalled how Prabhas, when asked if he’d ever change with fame, simply replied, "What’s there to change? I’ve always been the same, haven’t I?"
Amidst the ongoing personal turmoil Vishnu is experiencing within his family, he made a touching statement about Prabhas, emphasizing the difference between family relations and friendships formed outside. Vishnu shared how, while those with the same blood as him seem to be undermining him, Prabhas, who isn’t family by blood, is consistently supportive and wishes the best for him. Vishnu recalled a poignant moment when Prabhas told him, "We will remain friends for a long time even if we meet once every 3 or 6 months, as we both belong to a different school of life."
This heartfelt commentary from Vishnu gives a glimpse of the strong bond he shares with Prabhas, marking their friendship as one that transcends professional boundaries. As he promotes Kannappa, Vishnu’s words not only shed light on the success of their professional collaboration but also highlight the deep and lasting friendship that has been forged between the two.
