Ravi Teja Adopts Profit-Sharing Model For Upcoming Films To Balance Remuneration And Risks
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has decided to change his approach toward film remuneration by adopting a profit-sharing model. Known for his journey from struggles to superstardom, Ravi Teja once kept his fees moderate, making his films safe bets for producers. However, post-pandemic instability and a string of flops created turbulence in his career. Despite this, the actor continued to demand high remuneration and even profits after release, which led to him missing out on several projects.
Now, Ravi Teja has made a practical move by reducing his upfront fee and agreeing to share in the profits. His upcoming project with director Kishore Tirumala, scheduled for Sankranthi 2026, is being made on a tight budget. The actor will receive a minimum fee along with a share of the box-office profits. Additionally, he has signed another film with director Shiva Nirvana under Mythri Movie Makers on the same model.
This adjustment shows that Ravi Teja has recognized the industry’s current financial challenges. By adopting a profit-sharing strategy, he not only reduces the burden on producers but also ensures his continued presence in big projects. This approach could set a new trend in Tollywood, balancing risks between actors and producers while giving audiences more of Ravi Teja’s high-energy performances.
