Prabhas’s The Raja Saab Teaser Promises Thrills & Horror

The much-awaited teaser for Prabhas’s next film, The Raja Saab, was unveiled on June 16, sending fans into a frenzy across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The teaser was launched with special screenings in select theatres, giving fans a grand first look at what’s being marketed as a genre-bending romantic horror comedy. Directed by Maruthi, the film sees Prabhas return to his roots as a relatable next-door boy, diverging from the larger-than-life roles he’s recently become synonymous with.

The two-minute teaser is packed with visuals that effortlessly merge folklore, eerie horror elements, and comedy. The heavy use of VFX is apparent, adding to the haunting yet vibrant tone of the film. Prabhas is seen in dual avatars, one rooted in simplicity and the other hinting at supernatural influence. The surprise entry of Sanjay Dutt has piqued further curiosity, while glimpses of female leads Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar hint at layered romantic subplots.

At the teaser launch, director Maruthi described The Raja Saab as a film that transcends genres, bringing together magic, emotion, and madness in one unpredictable narrative. A pre-teaser released a day earlier had already set the tone, showcasing eerie backdrops and haunting aesthetics. However, the celebrations were slightly dampened after some visuals were leaked online. The production team has since warned of strict actions against those who share any unauthorized content.

The film has been in production since 2022 and has seen multiple delays, with the latest postponement shifting its release from April to December 5, 2025. Produced by B4U Motion Pictures and AA Films, the movie features a musical score by Thaman S, cinematography by Karthik Palani, and editing by veteran Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

With a unique blend of horror, romance, and fantasy, The Raja Saab promises a cinematic experience that differs from Prabhas’s recent action-heavy roles. As anticipation builds toward its December release, fans are now eagerly awaiting the full trailer to delve deeper into the twisted world of this haunted tale.
