Among the many Telugu films facing delays, Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara tops the list with persistent uncertainty and lack of official updates. While the production house UV Creations has remained tight-lipped about the film’s current status, another of their projects, Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, is charging ahead toward a confirmed release.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati is now eyeing a July 11, 2025 release after being postponed from April due to post-production delays. While this is good news for Anushka fans, it indirectly casts a shadow over Vishwambhara. Initially rumored for a July 24 release, Vishwambhara now seems to be struggling to find a viable release window. Given that two major films under the same banner releasing in the same month is unlikely, Vishwambhara may be pushed to September or beyond.

The promotional campaign for Vishwambhara, aside from its teaser and one song, has stagnated. With UV Creations now focusing efforts on Ghaati’s promotion, the buzz around Chiranjeevi’s film has dimmed. Adding to the complication, September is already crowded, with OG and Akhanda targeting that window.

This creates a problematic scenario for UV Creations. Delaying Vishwambhara risks losing fan engagement, while forcing a July release could cannibalize both films’ box office prospects. The production house now faces the tough task of strategic scheduling.

With Vashistha Mallidi directing Vishwambhara and the stakes riding high for a big-screen comeback, fans are growing restless. As things stand, a 2025 release for Vishwambhara seems more uncertain than ever, unless the production house surprises everyone with a sudden marketing push or a reshuffle of release slots. For now, Ghaati takes precedence, and Vishwambhara remains in limbo.
