Trivikram’s Mythological Film Now With NTR, Not Allu Arjun

Trivikram’s Mythological Film Now With NTR, Not Allu Arjun

In a surprising twist that has taken Tollywood by storm, director Trivikram Srinivas is now planning his much-discussed mythological project with Jr. NTR, replacing the previously rumored lead, Allu Arjun. The film, reportedly based on the Hindu deity Subrahmanya Swamy, has long been touted as an ambitious and unexplored venture in Telugu cinema.

Initially planned with Allu Arjun under Sithara Entertainments, the film gained significant traction as producer Naga Vamsi and Bunny Vas teased a new genre and grandeur not touched before in Indian cinema. However, delays due to Allu Arjun prioritizing Atlee’s film post-Pushpa 2 seems to have changed the direction of this high-stakes project.

While Trivikram seemed set to explore other options like Venkatesh or even Ram Charan whose film with Sukumar is reportedly postponed social media suddenly erupted with buzz that NTR is now locked for the mythological drama. Interestingly, this isn’t NTR’s first collaboration with Trivikram. Their earlier-announced film, #NTR30, was shelved years ago. Fans are speculating that the current revival might actually be a continuation or reimagining of that earlier plan.

Although the exact reason for the switch remains unclear, the combination of NTR’s intense screen presence and Trivikram’s storytelling in a devotional-historical context has excited audiences. The change has left Allu Arjun fans visibly disappointed, especially after Naga Vamsi's repeated public endorsements of the original casting.

NTR, meanwhile, is already committed to a film with Nelson Kumar under the same Sithara Entertainments banner. Once that wraps, he is expected to take on this newly confirmed mythological epic. He also has Devara 2 and the much-awaited Dadasaheb Phalke biopic on his schedule. With this sudden reshuffle, all eyes are now on Trivikram and NTR to deliver a landmark film that blends ancient legacy with cinematic grandeur.
