Nagarjuna's 100th Film Starts in July, First Look in August

Veteran star Nagarjuna is ready to mark a historic milestone with his 100th film, and in true King style, he’s choosing an unconventional route once again. After four decades of experimenting across genres romantic dramas, intense thrillers, and high-octane action Nagarjuna continues to defy expectations, this time by teaming up with a fresh voice in Telugu cinema, director Ra Karthik.

Known for the critically appreciated Tamil film Nitham Oru Vaanam, Ra Karthik now steps into Telugu cinema with a bold venture: a full-fledged action entertainer starring none other than Nagarjuna himself. The project will be produced under the Annapurna Studios banner and is set to begin filming in July.

While some fans were hoping for a massive collaboration with a top commercial director for Nagarjuna’s landmark film, the King has opted for a different strategy. True to his nature, Nagarjuna prefers storytelling and experimentation over safe bets. Industry insiders are calling it a calculated risk one that could pay off big if the narrative clicks with audiences. The film is reportedly being made on a sensible budget, making it both artistically exciting and financially viable.

Before stepping into this milestone movie, Nagarjuna has two big releases lined up. He will be seen in Kuberaa, a social thriller co-starring Dhanush, scheduled to hit screens on June 20. Following that, he will appear in the much-anticipated Coolie alongside superstar Rajinikanth, set for release on August 14.

With fans already buzzing, the hype around Nagarjuna’s 100th film is expected to peak with the first look poster, which will be unveiled on August 29 to coincide with the star’s birthday. Whether the film becomes a box office smash or a critically acclaimed venture, one thing is certain Nagarjuna’s commitment to fresh talent and unique stories continues to set him apart in Tollywood. As the industry watches closely, Nagarjuna’s 100th could very well turn into a benchmark not just for his career, but for how milestone films can embrace risk, reinvention, and a whole lot of heart.
