Cher’s Son Elijah Blue Allman Hospitalized After Drug Overdose

Elijah Blue Allman, son of legendary singer and actress Cher and musician Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, was hospitalized on June 14, 2025, after being found acting erratically at his California residence. Deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to the scene where Elijah was being evaluated by emergency medical personnel. Authorities also discovered drugs inside the home, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Elijah, professionally known as P Exeter Blue and a founding member of the metal band Deadsy, has had a tumultuous personal life, including struggles with mental health and substance issues. His hospitalization comes amid his long and complicated relationship with his mother Cher, who has publicly spoken about their unique dynamic over the years.

His estranged wife, Marieangela King Allman, expressed support for Elijah, acknowledging his inner battles but emphasizing his strength and dedication to sobriety. “My support is steadfast and comes from a place of deep respect for the person he is and the resilience he continues to show,” she stated.

Elijah’s mental health challenges previously led Cher to file for a temporary conservatorship over his estate in 2013, though the petition was later dismissed after a private agreement in 2024. This recent incident highlights the ongoing difficulties he faces as he continues to navigate his personal and professional life in the public eye.

Cher and Gregg Allman, married from 1975 to 1979, welcomed Elijah in 1976. Despite their ups and downs, Elijah remains a notable figure in the music industry and the spotlight of his mother’s enduring legacy. The family’s focus now appears to be on supporting Elijah through his recovery and health challenges.
