A grand press meet was held in Chennai for the upcoming action drama Akhanda 2: Tandavam, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The team shared their excitement as the film prepares for a worldwide release on December 5, 2025 in both 2D and 3D formats. With Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta producing and M Tejaswini Nandamuri presenting, the film has already created huge anticipation thanks to its teaser, trailer and music composed by Thaman. The hall echoed with cheers as Balakrishna addressed the media, reflecting emotional pride in his roots and expressing strong confidence in the film’s outcome. 

Balakrishna said Madras is his birthplace, Telangana is his workplace and Andhra Pradesh is his land of soul, adding that the connection he shares with these places remains emotional and unbreakable. He revealed that Akhanda 2 was shot across multiple countries in just 130 days and credited the achievement to divine grace. He stated that the movie carries powerful elements of Sanatana Dharma, encouraging people to live for truth, fight injustice and preserve traditional values. According to him, the film will educate future generations about Dharma and stands like an encyclopedia of culture and power. He proudly mentioned that he continues his journey in cinema following the legacy of his father who created mythological, social and fantasy films.

Balakrishna recalled how Akhanda released during the pandemic when many feared theatres, yet it became one of the earliest massive hits. He expressed confidence that Akhanda 2 will join the list of successful films like Simha, Legend, Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari and Dakua Maharaj. Completing 50 years in the film industry as a hero, he credited fans, parents and blessings for his continued success. He urged audiences worldwide to watch Akhanda 2 on December 5, saying it is a film one should not miss.

Director Boyapati Sreenu also spoke about the project, saying Akhanda was never limited to a regional audience and stood as an Indian film. He believes Akhanda 2 represents the spiritual soul of India and will take viewers into a new cinematic world. He said the experience will feel like Lord Shiva himself delivering a divine message of Dharma, devotion and tradition in a commercial and impactful manner.
