Shah Rukh Khan Begins Epic Jail Fight Scene for ‘King’ with 200 Stuntmen
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially begun filming a major action sequence for his upcoming film King, which features him as a lethal assassin. The scene, reportedly one of the most intense moments in the movie, takes place inside a foreign prison and is being shot with nearly 200 stunt performers at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios.
Directed by action maestro Siddharth Anand, King marks SRK’s return to the action genre following his blockbuster hits Pathaan and Jawan. According to a report by Mid Day, the filming of the prison scene began earlier this week and is expected to continue until June 21. The sequence involves Shah Rukh’s character confronting a criminal gang inside a jail, showcasing high-octane stunts and choreography crafted by three international stunt experts flown in specifically for this portion of the film.
A source close to the production revealed, “The scene is set in a foreign jail, where the protagonist takes on a gang of baddies. Since it forms a critical part of the narrative, Siddharth has invested heavily in making it visually gripping and technically sound.” The fight sequence is a major plot point and will highlight SRK’s brutal, assassin-style character.
Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly undergone weeks of intense action training to prepare for the physically demanding shoot. The production team has choreographed the action to include cinematic slow-motion moments, hand-to-hand combat, and stylized visuals aimed at delivering mass appeal.
King is shaping up to be a star-studded cinematic spectacle. It also marks the theatrical debut of Suhana Khan, who recently made her digital debut with The Archies. The ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan (rumored to be the main villain), Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma.
The film is scheduled for a 100-day shoot across various international and domestic locations and is tentatively set for a grand theatrical release on Gandhi Jayanti in 2026. Music for the film will be composed by the duo Sachin–Jigar, with background scoring by Anirudh Ravichander. King is expected to be one of the biggest Bollywood releases of the decade, combining SRK’s star power with high-budget action and a fresh narrative.
