Up coming Hindi Movie Ajay Devgn Announces Son of Sardaar 2 Release Date

Ajay Devgn is stepping back into his comedic avatar with Son of Sardaar 2, the much-awaited sequel to his 2012 hit film Son of Sardaar. The actor officially announced the release date for the film July 25, 2025 while unveiling a vibrant first-look poster. The new poster shows Devgn in a colorful turban, echoing the spirit and style of his character from the original film. He captioned the post on Instagram with: “The Return of the Sardaar. #SOS2 in cinemas near you on 25th July. #SardaarIsBack #SonOfSardaar2,” tagging co-star Mrunal Thakur.

The sequel marks Ajay Devgn’s return to the comedy genre after a string of intense action dramas including Singham Again, Shaitaan, Bholaa, and Maidaan. While Son of Sardaar was not part of the Golmaal or Bol Bachchan franchise, it earned praise for its high-energy humor and masala entertainment value. Devgn’s return to the light-hearted space is expected to resonate with audiences looking for laughter and action-packed fun on the big screen.

Mrunal Thakur headlines the female lead role in Son of Sardaar 2, while the ensemble cast also reportedly includes Sanjay Dutt, Sahil Mehta, Kubbra Sait, and Ravi Kishan. Veteran actor Sanjay Mishra, who joined the film at the last moment, confirmed he completed his shoot. Mishra replaced Vijay Raaz, who was earlier involved in the project but was later removed following a disagreement with the director.

In an interview, Mishra shared how Devgn personally requested him to join the film. “One call from Ajay and I said yes. He’s a true friend and has always been there for me during difficult times,” said the actor. “Replacing Vijay wasn’t easy, but I did my best.”

With a mix of fresh faces and familiar comic timing, Son of Sardaar 2 is expected to bring back the quirky charm of its predecessor. As the July 25 release date draws near, anticipation is building among fans eager to see Devgn don the turban once again and bring Sardaar-style entertainment to theatres.
