Ajay Devgn is stepping back into his comedic avatar with Son of Sardaar 2, the much-awaited sequel to his 2012 hit film Son of Sardaar. The actor officially announced the release date for the film July 25, 2025 while unveiling a vibrant first-look poster. The new poster shows Devgn in a colorful turban, echoing the spirit and style of his character from the original film. The sequel marks Ajay Devgn’s return to the comedy genre after a string of intense action dramas including Singham Again, Shaitaan, Bholaa, and Maidaan. While Son of Sardaar was not part of the Golmaal or Bol Bachchan franchise, it earned praise for its high-energy humor and masala entertainment value. In an interview, Mishra shared how Devgn personally requested him to join the film. “One call from Ajay and I said yes. He’s a true friend and has always been there for me during difficult times,” said the actor. “Replacing Vijay wasn’t easy, but I did my best.”
