Actor Sanjay Kapoor was visibly emotional at the trailer launch of his daughter Shanaya Kapoor's debut film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan in Mumbai. The event, held on July 1, 2025, became an emotional moment for the Kapoor family, especially Sanjay, who struggled to hold back tears while speaking about his daughter’s journey into Bollywood.

In a heartfelt speech at the event, Sanjay expressed his nervousness, saying, “I have been working for the past 30 years, and I've never been this nervous. Today I’m very nervous. Before I shed a few tears, thank you.” The emotional moment was captured in a video that surfaced online, showing Sanjay hugging the film's lead actor, Vikrant Massey, before addressing the audience.

Shanaya, who was earlier set to debut with Bedhadak, looked radiant in a yellow corset saree at the event, while her mother Maheep kept her look casual. Vikrant, co-starring with Shanaya, donned a classic black suit, and Sanjay opted for an all-black ensemble, matching the occasion's emotional tone.

The film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, directed by Santosh Singh, is based on Ruskin Bond’s short story The Eyes Have It and is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025. Shanaya's debut marks a new chapter in her career, and with another film, Tu Yaa Main, set to release in 2026, her journey in Bollywood is just beginning.
