Alias Rukmini introduces Nithiin as Krishna while building an intriguing mystery around a popular writer named Rukmini and her unusual identity. Presented by Nani, the film is directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth and promises a blend of mystery, romance, emotion and entertainment.
Alias Rukmini Glimpse Introduces A Curious Mystery
Nani’s Unanimous Productions has announced its second film, Alias Rukmini, with Nithiin playing the lead role. The project follows the banner’s Court – State Vs A Nobody and continues its focus on stories built around unusual ideas and content-driven storytelling.
The title announcement glimpse begins with Nani asking director Murali Kanth Devasoth to narrate the much-discussed script. The filmmaker says that the story revolves around a man named Krishna, but the visuals unexpectedly introduce several romantic novels written by a mysterious author called Rukmini.
The unusual books and their bold titles immediately create curiosity. As Nani questions why Rukmini is being introduced when the film is supposedly Krishna’s story, the glimpse prepares viewers for its central twist.
Nithiin Appears As Krishna In A Fresh Look
The final moments reveal Nithiin as Krishna, a mathematics teacher seated in an office. Wearing spectacles and sporting a simple makeover, he appears noticeably different from his regular commercial-film characters.
When asked about Rukmini, Krishna calmly responds that she is his wife. However, the announcement does not clearly explain whether Rukmini is the real author, whether Krishna is secretly writing under her name or why the identity has been kept hidden.
By leaving these questions unanswered, the makers establish the core mystery without revealing important plot details. Nani’s voice-over further strengthens the conversational style of the glimpse, while his concluding appreciation of the script acts as an endorsement of the film’s unusual concept.
Alias Rukmini Promises Mystery And Entertainment
Alias Rukmini is written and directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, who previously directed Dhandora. The announcement suggests that the film could combine mystery, romance, family emotions and humour instead of following the structure of a routine commercial entertainer.
The glimpse avoids action sequences or elaborate character introductions. It instead relies on dialogue, books, concealed identities and the relationship between Krishna and Rukmini to generate interest.
Nithiin’s understated appearance also indicates that the actor may be seen in a more restrained and story-oriented role. While further cast details remain under wraps, the title and announcement video have successfully created curiosity about the woman behind the name Rukmini and Krishna’s connection to her literary identity.
Alias Rukmini Shooting To Begin Soon
Deepthi Ganta is producing Alias Rukmini under Unanimous Productions, with Nani presenting the film. Jomon T John is handling cinematography, Vijai Bulganin is composing the music, Avinash Kolla is serving as production designer and Srujana Adusumilli is editing the project.
The film was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony and is currently in pre-production. Regular shooting is expected to begin soon, while details about the female lead, supporting cast and release date are yet to be announced.
With Nithiin in a fresh role, Nani backing the project and Murali Kanth presenting a hidden-identity mystery, Alias Rukmini has made an interesting first impression. The unanswered question surrounding Krishna and Rukmini is expected to remain the film’s biggest talking point until the makers reveal more details.
