Rise & Fall 2: Swara, Karan Join Sehwag’s Show
Rise & Fall Season 2 has announced its first four contestants, setting the stage for another strategy-driven reality television battle. Actors Swara Bhasker, Karan Patel and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will enter the competition alongside political commentator Shehzad Poonawalla.
Hosted by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, the second season is scheduled to begin streaming on MX Player on September 26. The newly released promotional video introduces the four celebrities as the first confirmed names from an expected 15-member contestant line-up.
The promo offers an early look at their contrasting personalities, strong opinions and competitive approaches. The contestants are seen exchanging sharp remarks while preparing to navigate a format built around power, alliances, strategy and changing social positions.
Four contestants enter the power game
Swara Bhasker is expected to bring her outspoken personality to the competition. She said the presence of people with different perspectives, combined with the show’s emphasis on strategy and authority, could produce fascinating dynamics.
Karan Patel, known for his television roles, described the programme as an opportunity to enter an unscripted arena as himself. He indicated that the game would require bold decisions, adaptability and the confidence to stand behind every move.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary returns to reality television with prior experience of competitive formats. However, she believes the possibility of shifting between the positions of Ruler and Worker will make this show a different challenge. She plans to trust her instincts, remain authentic and adapt to every change in the game.
Shehzad Poonawalla called the show a new innings and said its theme reflects the changing phases of life. He is expected to bring strong opinions and political debating experience into a house featuring contestants from diverse backgrounds.
Rise & Fall Season 2 format and streaming date
The central format divides participants into Rulers and Workers. Contestants can rise or fall depending on their choices, alliances, performances and eliminations. Those enjoying power at one stage could later find themselves working under others, making strategy and timing essential.
The first season was won by Arjun Bijlani, who began as a Worker before climbing the hierarchy to become a Ruler. Aarush Bhola finished as the first runner-up, while Arbaz Patel secured the second runner-up position. Arjun reportedly received prize money of Rs 28.10 lakh.
