Kuberaa Beats Kannappa & Thammudu at Box Office Day 17

The Telugu box office witnessed a high-voltage clash on Sunday, July 6, 2025, as three major films battled it out in theatres—Dhanush’s Kuberaa, Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa, and Nithiin’s Thammudu. Despite being in its third week, Kuberaa emerged as the clear winner, overshadowing both the relatively newer releases.

Dhanush Dominates the Sunday Race

On its 17th day, Kuberaa delivered an impressive performance, collecting ₹1.59 crore on its third Sunday. The film, which stars Dhanush and Nagarjuna, also saw strong ticket sales with 16.67K tickets sold on BookMyShow alone. In contrast, Kannappa brought in ₹1.28 crore on its second Sunday (Day 10), with only 9K tickets sold—despite featuring star cameos from Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal.

Thammudu, starring Nithiin and directed by Venu Sriram, earned ₹68 lakh on its third day (first Sunday). Although the film showed slight growth, it lagged behind the other two in both revenue and ticket sales, registering only 11.36K tickets sold.

Box Office Summary Across Films

  • Kuberaa (17 Days):
    India Net – ₹87.96 crore
    India Gross – ₹103.79 crore
