Kannappa Box Office Day 12: Rs 14 Lakhs Earned, Total Collection Reaches Rs 32.29 Crore

Vishnu Manchu’s mythological action drama Kannappa continues its steady performance at the box office, earning Rs 14 lakh on its 12th day, according to early estimates. While the numbers are not at blockbuster levels, the film has maintained consistency in its box office run, with its total collection reaching approximately Rs 32.29 crore across all languages.

The film had a strong opening week, collecting Rs 30.2 crore, but saw a slight dip in the second weekend. Despite this, the film has held its ground, with gradual fluctuations in earnings. Day 8 saw a drop to Rs 45 lakh, Day 9 had a slight recovery at Rs 60 lakh, and Day 12 ended with Rs 14 lakh in earnings. Though these figures are modest, Kannappa has continued to draw audiences, especially with a decent theatre occupancy rate.

On Day 12, the film’s Telugu occupancy rate was reported at 14.85%, with the highest turnout in the morning shows at 16.09%. The afternoon and evening shows had occupancies of 15.51% and 14.94%, respectively, while night shows recorded a lower occupancy of 12.85%.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa tells the spiritual tale of Thinnadu, a fearless warrior who transforms from an atheist to a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular character, with notable cameos from Bollywood and South Indian stars, including Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, Prabhas as Rudra, Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati, and Mohanlal as Kirata. The star-studded cast has helped the film appeal to a pan-Indian audience.

The film has received a mixed but generally positive reception. Etimes praised the visual and musical elements, particularly Sheldon Chau’s cinematography, which highlights the beauty of the natural landscapes and celestial moments. However, the review also noted that some of the VFX did not live up to the film's high ambitions. Despite minor shortcomings in the technical department, Kannappa’s sincere production has resonated with audiences, contributing to its ongoing success at the box office.
