Telangana GO: Veera Mallu Gets Massive Ticket Price Hikes Ahead of Release

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is gearing up for a grand release on July 24, and the film is receiving a significant boost from the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh through ticket price hikes. Producer AM Rathnam has successfully secured these hikes to capitalize on the film's anticipated success. In addition, the governments have authorized a special paid premiere on July 23 at 9 PM, with tickets priced at ₹600 (excluding GST), providing an early opportunity for fans to experience the film.

In Telangana, the price hike will be implemented for the entire first week, with tickets for single-screen theatres priced at ₹354 and ₹531 in multiplexes. Additionally, the government has granted permission for five shows per day. From the 5th to 11th day, tickets will cost ₹302 in single screens and ₹472 in multiplexes, maintaining the momentum throughout the film’s first week.

In Andhra Pradesh, multiplexes will be allowed to add ₹200 to the base ticket price, while single screens can charge an additional ₹150 for upper balcony seats and ₹100 for lower-class seats. This price adjustment will be valid from July 24 to August 2.

The government’s approval for special premiere shows on the night of July 23, with tickets priced at ₹600 across all theatres, adds to the excitement and anticipation. However, while the ticket hike provides a great opportunity for the makers to boost revenue, the content of the film must live up to the heightened expectations. If the film receives negative feedback during the premiere, it could significantly affect the revenue generated from these elevated ticket prices.

Despite the risks, this move places a huge responsibility on the makers and Pawan Kalyan to ensure the film meets both commercial and fan expectations. If Veera Mallu fails to deliver on the hype, the backlash may also have political ramifications for Pawan Kalyan. However, the ticket price hike, if well-received, promises to make Veera Mallu a box-office success in its opening week.
