Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda Confirm Third Film Amid Buzz

It’s official Tollywood’s favorite on-screen pair, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, are teaming up once again for their third film together. Tentatively titled VD14, the romantic drama will be helmed by acclaimed director Rahul Sankrityan, best known for Shyam Singha Roy. The news has already created a storm on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting their reunion after the success of Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.

The film was officially announced in May 2024, and while much of the project remains under wraps, sources close to the development have confirmed that the shoot is expected to begin in a few weeks. Rashmika, who is currently in Hyderabad shooting for Thama, will be juggling both films. Vijay, on the other hand, had to push the original schedule due to a recent dengue diagnosis. Despite the delay, preparations for the shoot are reportedly back on track.

Fans of the pair have long speculated about their off-screen chemistry as well, thanks to frequent sightings and heartfelt social media interactions. Recently, Rashmika wished Vijay a belated birthday on Instagram, calling him “Vijju,” which added fuel to the already strong buzz around their relationship. Vijay too responded warmly, and in a separate interview, even confirmed that he is no longer single—sending fans into a frenzy.

Aside from VD14, both actors have packed schedules. Rashmika will be seen in upcoming films like The Girlfriend and Mysaa, while Vijay’s next release is the high-octane spy thriller Kingdom, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev. He also has SVC 59 in the pipeline, which is currently in development.

The pairing of Rashmika and Vijay has consistently delivered fresh energy and chemistry on-screen, and expectations from VD14 are sky-high. With Rahul Sankrityan bringing his storytelling finesse to the project, fans can look forward to a memorable cinematic experience. As production gears up to begin, all eyes are now on this highly anticipated collaboration.
