Jeremy Renner Hints at Returning for Hawkeye 2 After Snowmobile Accident Recovery
Jeremy Renner has shared promising news regarding his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following his recovery from a near-fatal snowmobile accident in 2023. In a recent interview with Empire, Renner expressed his enthusiasm about reprising his role as Clint Barton in Hawkeye Season 2. He revealed that he is feeling physically prepared to return to the world of Marvel, including taking on the demanding stunt work required for his iconic character, the bow-and-arrow-wielding superhero.
Renner's comeback comes after a year of intense recovery. The actor, known for his resilience, said he has surpassed his recovery expectations, claiming that he is now "more than 150%" recovered. Reflecting on his journey, Renner shared how focusing on health and wellness has been instrumental in regaining strength. Although he acknowledges having some limitations in flexibility and mobility, his commitment to recovery has paid off, and he feels stronger than ever, both physically and mentally.
Renner’s portrayal of Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, has been a beloved part of the MCU, with appearances in major films like The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). His return for Hawkeye Season 2 is highly anticipated, especially after his brief cameo in the MCU series Echo (2024).
