As Rajinikanth celebrates his 50 glorious years in cinema, India’s iconic actors Kamal Haasan and Mammootty took to social media to pay tribute to the legendary actor. The celebration of Rajinikanth’s remarkable career milestone was not just a personal tribute from his colleagues, but also a collective acknowledgment of his profound influence on the Indian film industry.

Actor Kamal Haasan, who shares a long and illustrious journey with Rajinikanth, expressed his deep affection and admiration for his peer. In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Haasan wrote, “Marking half a century of cinematic brilliance, my dear friend @rajinikanth... celebrates 50 glorious years in cinema today. I celebrate our Super Star with affection and admiration, and wish #Coolie resounding global success befitting this golden jubilee."

He continued his message with heartfelt words, mentioning the collaboration with Rajinikanth on various projects and praising the team behind the upcoming film, Coolie. Haasan also extended a special cheer to his daughter Shruti Haasan, who is part of the movie, sending love to the cast and crew who made Coolie a reality. Kamal Haasan’s post was filled with warmth and respect for Rajinikanth, acknowledging his incredible journey in Indian cinema and the legacy he has built over five decades.

Similarly, actor Mammootty also shared his admiration for Rajinikanth’s long-standing contributions to cinema. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is helming the upcoming crime-thriller Coolie, expressed his deep gratitude to Rajinikanth for his guidance and collaboration. Rajinikanth’s golden jubilee celebrations come ahead of the much-anticipated release of his latest movie, Coolie. The movie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is a crime-thriller set in the world of gold-smuggling. Coolie also stars a stellar ensemble cast, including Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan, making it one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie is set to release on August 14, 2025, and will coincide with the release of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s much-anticipated War 2, leading to an exciting clash at the box office.
