Seven Consecutive Flops for Mega Family: Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Other Heroes Struggling

The Mega Family, known for producing some of the most iconic stars in the Telugu film industry, has been enduring a tough time at the box office. From Chiranjeevi’s legacy to Pawan Kalyan’s stardom, this family has introduced a slew of talented actors. However, the last few years have been less than favorable for the family, with seven consecutive flops in the last year (excluding Allu Arjun, who remains the only successful hero in recent times).

Films like Bro, Bholaa Shankar, Gandheevadhari Arjuna, Operation Valentine, Matka, Game Changer, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu have failed to impress audiences and failed at the box office, marking a stark contrast to their earlier successes.

Heroes Struggling for Success

Megastar Chiranjeevi, despite scoring a hit with Waltair Veerayya in 2023, faced a massive setback with Bholaa Shankar, which was a super flop. His upcoming film Vishwambhara has been delayed due to pending post-production work, and fans eagerly await whether his projects with Anil Ravipudi will mark a successful comeback.

Pawan Kalyan, after a long hiatus, returned with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, but the film was considered his biggest disaster. With all hopes pinned on his upcoming release OG in September, fans are hoping for a better outcome. Additionally, Pawan is working on Ustaad Bhagat Singh with director Harish Shankar.

Ram Charan, who gained global recognition with RRR, has faced disappointment with films like Acharya and Game Changer. Both movies ended up being box office disasters, leaving Charan fans disheartened. His next film, Peddi, slated for release in March 2026, is seen as his opportunity to bounce back.

Varun Tej has also struggled with solo hits, his last successful venture being Gaddalakonda Ganesh in 2019. Films like Ghani, Gandheevadhari Arjuna, Operation Valentine, and Matka did not fare well. His upcoming film, an action-comedy with Merlapaka Gandhi, is expected to release in 2026, and fans are hopeful for a change in fortune.

Sai Durga Tej, despite the success of Virupaksha, has faced consecutive failures in recent years. His upcoming film Sambarala Yeti Gattu (SYG) is expected to release later this year, and hopes are high for another successful run.

Vaishnav Tej, after his 100-crore grosser Uppena, has been on a flop streak with Kondapolam, Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga, and Adi Keshava. He has not announced a new film in two years and is being cautious about his script choices.

The Mega Family is going through a tough phase, and both the heroes and their fans are eager for a turnaround. With several big projects on the horizon, it remains to be seen if any of the Mega heroes can break this long streak of flops and return to the box office with a bang.
