Manish Malhotra, renowned fashion designer, is stepping into the world of cinema with his debut as a film producer. The movie, titled Gustaakh Ishq, features a strong cast, including Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and veterans Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Malhotra shared his lifelong love for cinema, which has inspired his new venture. Reflecting on his childhood admiration for films, he wrote, "Since childhood, I’ve lived with a deep Ishq (love) for cinema," underscoring the personal connection he feels towards this project. The designer further excited fans by announcing that the first glimpse of the film will be revealed on August 25, adding, "This journey is special, personal and truly from the heart."

Originally titled Ul-Jalool Ishq, the film was recently rebranded to Gustaakh Ishq, marking a new chapter for Malhotra as a producer. While earlier rumors circulated about Malhotra potentially directing a biopic on Meena Kumari, he clarified those reports, but hinted that he might direct a romantic film in the future, inspired by Yash Chopra’s legacy.
