Pahlaj Nihalani Dismisses Divorce Rumours Between Govinda and Ssunita Ahuja

Pahlaj Nihalani Dismisses Divorce Rumours Between Govinda and Ssunita Ahuja

Veteran filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani has firmly dismissed the ongoing rumours about the troubled marriage of Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Ssunita Ahuja. These rumours, which suggested that Ssunita had filed for divorce, were addressed by Nihalani in a recent interview, where he called the speculations baseless and reaffirmed that he had never seen any signs of separation between the couple.

Nihalani, who has worked closely with Govinda on several successful films like Aankhen and Shola Aur Shabnam, took to Pinkvilla’s podcast to clarify his stance. They are like buddies, and whether you see them as family or work partners, I have never seen anything that indicates any issues between them, he said. He emphasized that Govinda and Ssunita have always been supportive of each other, both personally and professionally, and that their bond was strong, much like that of close friends.

In response to reports of Ssunita’s comments about feeling restricted by others, Nihalani supported her, saying, What she said is not wrong. She is right because the mess has been created by others. He further explained that people often disrupt an individual’s thinking, feeding them with information that can alter their perception. However, he was careful not to offer any advice directly to Govinda, emphasizing that giving advice to others is often a mistake.

When asked about the speculation that Ssunita now oversees Govinda’s work, Nihalani admitted that he was unsure about the specifics of their professional partnership but reiterated that he has never seen them separated. I don’t know about that. But I’ve never seen them separate, he said, implying that their personal and professional lives were still very much intertwined.

The filmmaker also shared an interesting anecdote about how he wasn’t even aware of Govinda and Ssunita’s marriage when it happened. I didn’t even know they had gotten married. He married after 1986, but I wasn’t aware of it, Nihalani shared. Despite this, he pointed out that it wasn’t necessary for celebrities to share every detail of their personal lives with the public. The recent divorce rumours have sparked much debate among fans and the media, but with Nihalani’s insights, it seems clear that Govinda and Ssunita’s relationship is as strong as ever, despite what some media reports may suggest.
