The highly anticipated sequel to Nandamuri Balakrishna's hit film Akhanda, titled Akhanda 2, has officially been postponed, much to the disappointment of eager fans. Initially set for release on September 25th, 2025, the team announced the delay without providing a new release date. Fans had already been speculating about the film's potential delay due to Pawan Kalyan’s OG also targeting the same date.
According to the production house, additional time is required for crucial aspects of post-production work, including re-recording, VFX, and other technical enhancements to ensure the film delivers the highest quality cinematic experience. The makers assured fans that the extra time will be worth it, promising that the final product will exceed their expectations and deliver a grand cinematic journey. Although speculation about a possible December release is circulating, nothing has been officially confirmed.
Akhanda 2 promises to be another massive hit, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, which was one of the biggest post-Covid hits in the Telugu film industry. The teaser for Akhanda 2 has already created a buzz among movie lovers, and with the iconic SS Thaman composing the music, expectations are sky-high. As the team works tirelessly to perfect the film, fans can only wait with bated breath for the official release announcement, hoping that the wait for Akhanda 2 will be worth it and that the movie will live up to the incredible hype.
