Raj Kundra Responds To Rs 60 Crore Fraud Allegations, Says Truth Will Prevail

Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, has finally spoken out about the Rs 60 crore fraud case that has put him under the scanner. The businessman was recently summoned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police in connection with a cheating complaint filed by businessman Deepak Kothari.

Speaking during the promotions of his Punjabi film Mehar in Delhi, Raj Kundra maintained that both he and Shilpa Shetty are innocent and that the allegations are baseless. “We have done nothing wrong. The truth will come out very soon,” he assured, addressing the growing speculation around the case.

The controversy stems from a complaint lodged by Kothari, who alleged that between 2015 and 2023, the couple took over Rs 60 crore under the pretext of investing in their venture, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Instead, he claims the funds were diverted for personal use. According to Kothari, he transferred the money in two major installments in 2015, but despite repeated requests, the amount was never returned.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s lawyer has strongly denied the allegations, clarifying that they will present their side to the investigating authorities. For now, the case remains under probe, and all eyes are on how the legal proceedings unfold.

The businessman, who has often been in the headlines for controversies, appeared calm during his public statement, reiterating that justice will soon be in his favor. His film Mehar promotions are continuing even as the case attracts nationwide media attention.
