All Eyes On Pawan Kalyan’s OG Premiere Shows In Telugu States Ahead Of Release
Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film OG is gearing up for release on September 25, just ahead of the Dusshera holiday season. The timing is already working in its favor as audiences are naturally more inclined to catch a new big release during festivals. With Pawan Kalyan in the lead, the hype surrounding the film has reached massive levels even before the trailer has been unveiled.
Discussions across social media are centered around the premiere shows and box office potential. The makers are expected to apply for special permissions from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to conduct paid premieres, special shows, and ticket hikes. The plan is to organize premieres on the night of September 24, a day before the official release.
However, the scenario in Telangana remains uncertain. After the Pushpa 2 controversy, the Telangana government tightened rules and now only grants special permissions for movies with patriotic, Telangana movement-related, or exceptional content. While Pawan Kalyan’s historical drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu received clearance, OG being a gangster drama may face challenges in securing approvals.
Andhra Pradesh is seen as more favorable for permissions, and fans are hopeful of 1 AM premiere shows. If approvals are granted in Telangana, shows are likely to begin only from 4 AM. Official confirmation from the government is expected closer to the release date.
To ensure a smooth rollout, advance bookings for OG are likely to open four to five days before release. This would not only prevent last-minute booking glitches but also help distributors gauge audience interest and plan extra shows if needed.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, OG is already riding on strong positive buzz. With the trailer launch and a grand pre-release event lined up, expectations are that OG will open to massive numbers, further cementing Pawan Kalyan’s stronghold at the box office.
